AOne of the cutest Christmas packages!
Here are the little cousins, Oscar and Annika. (Oscar 13 months, Annika 20 months)
Some of the Bonsell cousins
She even had Christmas tights. :)
A tired girl at the end of the evening.
and the last gift, opened by my Dad, ending the annual gift exchange game.
Annika and I took Bety and Oscar to the Air National Guard Weekend Family Christmas Party... 3rd gathering (lunch) of the weekend! Annika had her coat and shoes on and was ready to go... then she came out in her "hat" She looked so cute with her pants on her head (though she was telling me "no picture) I just had to get one anyway!
My Studio, with the new garage addition. The doors were just installed. I'm not sure when it will get painted to match the studio
Yellow Springs Hike My good friends Sandra and Heinz are in town for a couple of days and it was a beautiful day for a hike. I introduced them to Chipotle, then we headed out for a nice hike. Sandra and I met at the greenhouse where we worked in '98-'99 together. We have kept in contact over the past 10+ years and she has been back here twice and I have visited her in Switzerland twice.
The evening (3:00pm) sun was beautiful on the little falls.
My girl loves to be outside... picking up rocks and leaves, and trying to find a way into the water! She did manage to get one foot in. Annika hiked all but the last 10 minutes or so of the 2 hour hike! (Not to mention, she hadn't had her nap) Of course that could be why the hike took two hours, but still... she's quite the trooper.
...and here's our good friends, Sandra and Heinz! SO glad you could come stay with us for a bit on this trip's US tour! Hopefully we'll see you again in Switzerland soon.
I don't want to think about the teenage years... but so far, it just keeps getting more and more fun with Annika. She's a funny & fun loving little girl who loves her pretties, enjoys laughing and making everyone around her laugh, will do anything to get her parents to read her as many books as possible, runs around like a crazy kid after a bath before the jammies go on, and likes to boss the dog and cat around - because it doesn't work when she tries it on her parents.
Baby J... 30 weeks down, 10 more to go (with 8 more weeks of busy season in the studio!) I really do enjoy my pregnancies. It's an exciting time, reading about what's happening each week... anticipating getting to meet this new little person who has been such a big (and getting bigger) part of me, feeling those movements and enjoying the peace before any crying begins... although I am able to love each stage, no matter how painful (with a psychotic sciatic nerve making it difficult to walk or even roll over in bed) or the sleep deprivation that comes later.
I couldn't enjoy it so much as I do, without the awesome husband I have, who loves and supports me, and takes every chance he gets, to be the greatest husband and dad he can be. He is happy to take Annika out to play... or do an oil change, or tinker in the garage, or make a grocery run with her, to give me some down time when he is not working. My parents are also so helpful to watch Annika when I am with appointments in the studio - which is a lot right now, with seniors in full swing and Christmas coming! I've been blessed in SO MANY ways with all of my family, near and far away.
